Finsbury is one of the most up and coming areas of London and, due to its low crime levels and proximity to The City and Islington, is currently experiencing a huge boost in its popularity. It makes a great location for an office and more and more office space is appearing on the market to meet the increased demand.
Geography
The district of Finsbury is located in central London. It lies to the south of City Road and Islington, west of Shoreditch and just to the north of Clerkenwell and the City of London. The western end of the district is known as The Finsbury Estate and the eastern end is St. Luke's.
Getting around
Finsbury is very well connected to the rest of London with tube stations on the Victoria and Piccadilly Lines. Several buses serve the district, including the 29 which runs all night and connects Trafalgar Square and Wood Green via Camden. There are also two overland stations: Crouch Hill and Finsbury Park. Crouch Hill is around 15 minutes from Finsbury Park on foot and runs to Gospel Oak and Barking. Finsbury Park trains run north to Welwyn and south to Moorgate and national rail services are also available to Cambridge.
Finsbury has cleaned up its act a lot over the last few years and is now one of the safest districts of central London. This has led to an influx of businesses into the area so office space can be hard to come by. However, due to the area's very good transport links and location within the city, it's well worth waiting for the right space to appear on the market.
Office space
Although mostly a residential area, there are still some excellent office space options to be found in Finsbury. Non-serviced and serviced offices are available and there's quite a large variation in price, depending on the size of the office, its location and the facilities included. Prices start as low as £150 per person per month for a small but well-appointed office space, and rise to over £400 per person per month for larger, serviced offices close to transport links.
For such a central location, prices compare very favourably with more well-known commercial areas such as Docklands and Canary Wharf.

Economy
Finsbury is extremely ethnically diverse and one of its main attraction is its huge range of restaurants and takeaways selling food of all types. Stroud Green Road is the main area for food with both independent restaurants and the usual chains. Finsbury is more of a pub place than a club place and there are plenty of traditional English tavern to choose from. The pubs do especially well on Arsenal match days because the Emirates is only a 10 minute walk from Finsbury Park station.
Finsbury is a largely residential area and it doesn't have a particular industry for which it is known. Apart from the large number of pubs and food outlets in the area, there's a selection of independent and chain stores and several supermarkets.
The area has plenty of open spaces including the vast, 110 acre Finsbury Park which includes an outdoor and indoor gym, tennis courts and a running track. There are two play areas for children and a woodland walk. During the summer the park holds several music festivals. Because of its open feel, the area is very popular with families. It is also popular with young professional due to its proximity to the city.
